Muckheap
One of Polyglot’s longest running shows, Muckheap continues to be as relevant and entertaining today as when it was first created. However people shift and change, hard rubbish day still remains as a great opportunity to clean up and get rid of unwanted junk. The characters in Muckheap are determined to clean up their shed, chucking out everything, once and for all...until they see what there is in the old boxes and crates. How can you turf things that have such memories? How can you reject things that turn an ordinary day and a difficult task into a story telling frenzy and the most fun you can have in your own backyard?
Through object and junk puppetry, instant creation of characters and scenery and hilarious slapstick and physical energy, Muckheap delivers a double story of good intentions gone wrong and the most unexpected happy ending you can imagine.
With a new look and the additions of every cast since 2001, Muckheap is not only fresh and vigorous but better than ever. Funny and true, Muckheap offers not only great entertainment but a great example of the creative power of the performer. Because of the nature of the materials, kids come away from this show feeling like they too could make stories come alive with simple materials and a big dollop of imagination. Junk will never look the same.
