Heath McIvor
Heath McIvor has spent the last decade as a puppeteer. His broadcast television credits include Li’l Horrors and Pigs Breakfast, while his theatre experience includes The Hobbit, The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe, and Walking With Dinosaurs, the Live Experience as well various outings of Muckheap, Checkout!, and We Built This City for Polyglot Theatre.
Heath has been involved from a creative development stage with Echo for Polyglot since 2005; been engaged as a puppetry consultant for several short films and various theatre productions as well as running workshops in performance style and construction techniques. He appeared in Tadpole and Tyrannosaurus Sex during Melbourne Fringe in 2007.
Heath collaborated with musical comedian Sammy J to co-write and perform in Sammy J In The Forest Of Dreams, winning The Age Critics award and earning a Barry Award nomination for best show at the 2008 Melbourne comedy Festival; the show went on to sell out seasons at the 2008 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, London’s Soho Theatre, the 2009 New Zealand Comedy Festival and in London and Edinburgh as part of a UK tour throughout 2009.
Heath attracted a Golden Gibbo Award nomination for his debut solo show Randy's Postcards From Purgatory in the 2009 Melbourne Comedy Festival and he brought this show to the Edinburgh Fringe festival in 2009.
