Lisa Frankland
Lisa Frankland is a visual artist currently based in Melbourne. Lisa graduated from Fine Arts, Painting at RMIT University in 2006. She is currently studying a Diploma in Community Cultural Development at V.C.A Melbourne University. In 2009 Lisa exhibited work at Area Gallery in Fitzroy, Melbourne and was commissioned by Wodonga City Council for a Public Artwork as part of the "Todos Arte" arts festival. In 2008 Lisa spent 4 months in Bolivia as the artist in residence at KIOSKO galeria researching and developing new work for an exhibition at Sala Simple Gallery in Bolivia. In 2007 Lisa worked with the City of Wodonga and 12 local pre-schools on the project ‘Village Imprints.’ Which was a large scale installation derived from the art of pre-school children. In the same year she exhibited in Kids space at Albury Regional Art Gallery as part of the ‘SIZE Matters’ exhibition, and at ‘Don’t Come’ Gallery in Collins St, Melbourne. Lisa’s art practise is concerned with the psychology of architecture, the ways in which our constructed environment dictates our experience of the world.
